Composite Construction
Through offering construction and planning services in steel composite construction according to EC 4 for social and commercial construction, affordable supporting structures are developed with constructors and customers in mind.
Due to reduced part dimensions and wider spans more net floor space is being created.Building times are 30% less compared to conventional concrete construction.
Material costs are about 11% less compared to a clean armoured concrete construction.
Compared to a clean steel construction 25% less steel is used due to higher transverse force bearing capacities (which plays an important role given current steel prices).
Clean steel frame construction for public buildings (offices, shopping centres etc.) is impossible without complex fire protection lining or costly fire protection coating. The use of composite concrete allows for an inexpensive fire protection for steel supporting structures.
Cold or warm dimensioning (in the event of fire) of steel composite constructions is necessary.
Steel composite constructions offer optimal utilisation of the construction material characteristics of concrete and steel.
Only optimised compositions can create cost effective and durable supporting structure solutions.
Composite roofs e.g. IFB or FTS flat slabs with ARBED – cap profiles
All common types or building styles of composite roofs are calculated and optimised (e.g. Holorib, Cofrastra, Additiv roof etc.)
The complete documentation (useage property, bearing capability, composite safety) is carried out according to the relevant accreditation and Eurocode 4.
Hot dimensioning is done based on fire protection reports (Calculation process stage 2).
In connection with the other products a complete continuous handling of composite constructions is possible.
Composite Trusses
Composite trusses with recesses
To ensure that as little room height as possible is lost during horizontal installations pipes and cables are often fed through the recesses in composite trusses. Position, shape and size of recesses – with and without reinforcement – are easily identified based on detailed calculations. The confirmations also take into consideration so called secondary or local bending strains which are known from calculations of Vierendeel joists.
Calculation of composite joist and corners according to EC4 and VTR
Composite Column
Various Composite Column Types
(concrete-cast rolled-steel section, chamber concrete filled rolled-steel sections, concrete hollow-profile columns) can be easily dimensioned and optimised.
Complete documentation (useage property, bearing capability, composite safety) is carried out according to the relevant accreditation and Eurocode 4. Fire protective calculation is made possible for all systems.
